Villa Bernardi is a beautiful, spacious Tuscan casa colonica (farm house); suitable for 10 people and perfect for family gatherings or parties of friends. It offers over 420 m² (4,400 ft²) of living space, which meanders over four levels.
The original farm dates back to 1085. Since 1988 Villa Bernardi has been remodelled twice; the first remodelling brought the property out of a ruin state, while the second made it rental ready and in keeping with it's heritage. You will see the property on many Tuscan postcards, calendars and paintings around Chianti.
The structure is traditional Tuscan: stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The home has many large windows and doors, ensuring an abundance of natural light.
BEDROOMS
There are five bedrooms situated around the house. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and the windows are screened. There are four bathrooms (three en-suite) and a separate WC.
KITCHEN
There is a large gourmet kitchen/dining room with separate 'work kitchen' or butler's pantry.
OTHER FACILITIES
The villa has a private 15 meter swimming pool, where one can relax in a tranquil atmosphere while enjoying the surrounding landscape. Lounge chairs and a shaded pergola allow you to sit and relax between swims. There is a well-equipped gym with a cross fit machine, treadmill. weights and multi-gym.
THE VINEYARDS
The villa is situated in a small boutique vineyard called Monte Bernardi, which produces Chianti Classico wine using organic and biodynamic methods.
